Law Office Fees and Policies
How much is this going to cost me up front?
The answer is nothing. To retain our firm costs you nothing up front. So how do we get paid? We get paid on a "contingency basis." This means our fee is based on a percentage of what we are able to recover for you (the settlement) in your accident case. If we don't recover for you, we do not get paid. It is that simple. The balance of the settlement is used to satisfy any outstanding medical expenses you may have, and then you get the balance. As a general rule, we never take more money than the client. We will explain all of this in much more detail during our initial consultation with you, and it will all be spelled out for you in our attorney-client agreement. If we are unable to assist you, we will try to find a colleague who can. In that case, that colleague might give our office a "referral fee" which comes out of their fee (it doesn't affect what you receive).
How much is the initial consultation?
All initial consultations in personal injury cases are free. First, call our office at (661) 414-7100. If we think we can help you, we will set up an appointment to learn more about your accident and answer your questions. There is no obligation to proceed and no fee for the appointment. No surprises. You will be under no pressure to proceed. If it’s not the kind of case we handle, we will be up front with you as well.
I don't want to hire an attorney - I just want a consultation to get advice.
Some clients don't want to hire a lawyer to take their personal injury case. All they want is advice and guidance. If you need advice regarding your current case, feel free to schedule a free consultation.
I'm not sure I want to hire a lawyer. Is there some kind of guarantee?
While we certainly cannot guarantee the outcome of your case, we guarantee that if you hire my office and in the first 30 days you are not satisfied with the level of service we provide, you won’t be charged a single penny for the work we have done on your case. This will allow you to “test drive” our law firm for 30 days with no obligation.
What about phone calls and emails?
If you call our office, we will return your call as soon as possible. Usually, we will call you back the same day. We have a 24 hour return phone call policy (next business day) which means that if we don’t call you the same day, we will return your call the next business day. You can also email our office. We have the same policy regarding emails.
Do I get to meet with the attorney?
At some law offices, you never get to meet the lawyer. Instead, you meet with staff, paralegals, “investigators,” etc. At our firm, you will meet with Robert Mansour to discuss your case. Of course, our staff is also here to assist you as the case progresses.
* Of course, this is not an exhaustive list of our policies and fees, but this will hopefully provide you with some helpful information. You will learn much more during your initial consultation.
